Our Core Values

We don't have a mission statement but we do have Core Values.  These were developed in 1994 and are at the heart of everthing we do - they are our guiding principles and we have walked away from deals and opportunities that conflict with our Core Values and, we are proud to say, we will probably do so again in the future.  We are also asked why we print our Core Values in this order and the simple truth is that their is no "particular order" and we print them a different every time we use them because we don't consider any one Core Value to be more important than any other.

Freedom
Every action we take is guided by and is consistent with a sense and recognition of the personal freedom of everyone involved.  Members of our staff are free to choose which hours they work and free to work with the tools and technologies with which they are most comfortable.  We support the right of free speech and the work of the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

Integrity
We will deal with every person and individual who comes into contact with our organisation fairly and in a way that preserves their corporate identity, strategy, and brand image.

Quality
Every product and service we supply, including the business processes that handle the day to day operations of our business, are subjected to regular quality appraisals.  This ensures that everything we do, from the development of code through to the way in which our telephones are answered, is checked to ensure that a superior quality of service is delivered to everyone who comes into contact with our organisation.

Innovation
By concentrating on the results expected of us by our clients we are able to focus on their business processes and mirror them using advanced server solutions to deliver intuitive, engaging, and dynamic web applications that meet the needs of their unique business situation.  We strive to produce innovative solutions that push the boundaries of emerging technologies but the duty of care we owe to our clients ensures that we will never recommend a cutting edge solution when a simpler, more cost effective application will suffice.

Skill
By ensuring that our skills are up to date and that we remain forward thinking, we automatically build into each product and service a certain degree of "future proofing".   By monitoring emerging trends and keeping up to date with the latest developments in technology we ensure that we maintain a striking breadth of vision allowing us to develop applications that will meet the needs of our clients far into the future.

Partnership
When dealing with our Agents, Resellers, and Partners, our role is one of supporting their sales efforts;  we will maintain our integrity by not selling directly to their customers or undermining their ability to do so.  We remember that our role is always to enhance their service offering and opportunities for profit.  As a company we sell our products and services direct but we will not attempt to move clients away from our agents and partners in order to enhance our profits.  By extending the partnership model to our dealings with clients we ensure that they are treated with respect and equality at all stages of a transaction.  It is important for our clients to realise that their web site is as important to us as it is to them - we are only successful if they are successful.

Fairness
Our role in dealing with our clients is to enhance their business by actively seeking opportunities and developing new products that profit both of us.  The profits we make are fair and are derived from the work we do rather than any perception of what a local market will bear.  We believe that making a fair profit which allows us to develop the business and grow at a sustainable rate is more important than making a quick (and perhaps larger) profit by trading on the ignorance and, in some cases, the technological naivety of our clients.  Where we offer special pricing in return for case studies, marketing materials and possible future referrals we will ensure that our client is fully aware of our reasons for doing so.

Individuality
In every area of our operations we focus on the need to value the worth of the individual.  Every person and organisation coming into contact with us at any level is a critically important part of our business and their importance to us is stressed in the way in which we deal with them.

Opportunism
We will actively seek out new opportunities for growth.  We will approach opportunities brought to us by companies and individuals with open minds and an eagerness to learn about new areas into which our technologies can reach.  By taking this approach we encourage the development of big ideas into applications that deliver real benefits to users.

Love
Friendship transcends the day to day rigors of running the company.  We believe that by building friendships with everyone we do business with, we increase loyalty and bring a deeper sense of satisfaction and contentment to our contacts, staff, clients, and partners.  Friends do not harm each other and by treating everyone with whom we do business as friends we ensure that we are automatically fair and equitable in our dealings with them.   We believe that problems are best tackled head on with forthright speech, honesty, and transparency.  In the event of a dispute we understand that friends argue but it is just business and life is too short for a disagreement to hurt for too long.

Honesty
We believe that honesty is a policy that should pervade every aspect of business life.  We believe that by establishing a policy of openness and honesty from the outset of a new working relationship, we lay the foundations for friendship and mutual respect.

Equality
Our opportunities, products and services are open to any company or individual with a desire to profit from the Internet as a tool for change.  We do not discriminate in any way and strongly believe that the Internet can be instrumental in helping to eliminate prejudice and intolerance as the global village becomes smaller.  We treat newcomers to our business with the same respect and tolerance that is shown to companies and individuals with a proven value to us.
