Everything we do is geared towards the needs of our customers. However, in order to be able to
deliver the best of what we do for our clients we need to recruit, retain, train, and value the
very best talent to make our dreams a reality.
We believe that our employees are even more important than our server network.
We can rent server space from anyone - we can't rent our people!
Everyone who works with us is encouraged and empowered to develop mechanisms to
improve the service we offer to our customers, how we develop our business and
products, and how we take our business to the next levels of success by making
sure our clients succeed.
- We offer flexible working hours. For example, if someone works 19.5 hours
a week in a sales position we let them choose which hours they want to work.
We do not believe that business should EVER get in the way of a father putting
his children to bed or lead to a mother paying someone to pick them up from school.
There is more to life than work and we support our employees in achieving their
preferred work/life balance.
- We love part time. We would rather employ two part time workers than one
full time worker. This isn't an attempt to avoid National Insurance or
gain some sort of tax advantage; it puts two people in work instead of one and
gives our business two brains full of life experience and expertise and that has
to be a good thing.
- We don't care about the past. This is a difficult one to put across on our
web page but we are genuinely interested in how people will grow and develop
rather than mistakes they might have made in the past. We believe in
second chances and a simple example will suffice: would we consider employing a
single mum who has recently beaten substance addiction and is committed to
changing her life? Yes we would. Would we sack them if they failed
to acheive thier targets within a trial period? Yes we would. Would
those sales targets be reasonable? Yes.
Our Workplace
We don't have a workplace as our staff either work from home or out in the field
engaging with our customers.
We don't believe that good business should demand traditional business attire - our M.D regularly wears
Wranglers, cowboy boots, and a Montgomery Gentry T-Shirt! We ask our staff
to be clean and presentable but having a nose ring, or purple hair is not a
barrier to working for Ladybird. If you want to wear trainers that's fine
with us and our clients - as long as they are clean nobody cares. All we
ask is that our staff are polite, respectful, and have a professional business
attitude.
